Cute and the sex scene (i think there was just one?) was steamy, but it was a little hokey and sometimes didn't feel as if it had been written by a woman。 Cute and the sex scene (i think there was just one?) was steamy, but it was a little hokey and sometimes didn't feel as if it had been written by a woman。 。。。more

this was adorable and kept me company while i miraculously not only did laundry but folded it and put it up (thank you audiobooks)。 honestly i could roll it up to five stars for that alone because i honestly can't remember the last time i managed to do all parts of laundry in a single day。。。 this was adorable and kept me company while i miraculously not only did laundry but folded it and put it up (thank you audiobooks)。 honestly i could roll it up to five stars for that alone because i honestly can't remember the last time i managed to do all parts of laundry in a single day。。。 。。。more

Because Gavin plays baseball)。 Each character is well rounded, and everything ties up nicely in the end。 It is very self-aware of the romance tropes that are being used, which was a nice touch from the author。 A fascinating, easy read。 Spice Level: 5/5 (get the hose, it's spicy)Content Warning Before Reading: unavailable parents, toxic family dynamics 。。。more

This was a really fast and engaging read。 I really liked Thea and Gavin, and their relationship felt pretty authentic to me。 They had some super adorable moments throughout the book too。 While this book wasn't quite what I wanted (I was hoping for some more humor/comedy elements), I still had a pretty fun time with it :) This was a really fast and engaging read。 I really liked Thea and Gavin, and their relationship felt pretty authentic to me。 They had some super adorable moments throughout the book too。 While this book wasn't quite what I wanted (I was hoping for some more humor/comedy elements), I still had a pretty fun time with it :) 。。。more

A very basic beach read, contradicting in feminist philosophy despite claiming to be “feminist as fuck” but entertaining enough。

10/5 This book was a great way of showing how love can prevail through thought times, and I absolutely loved how the guys like romance books。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 gostei, foi o livro que me tirou da ressaca literária, ele é leve de uma forma que faz você pensar sobre comunicação e dificuldades reais num relacionamento, acho que minha "decepção" com ele vem de um lugar pessoal que não cabia na narrativa, eu queria mais aprofundamento onde TalVEZ não tinha que ter porque a autora queria retratar o máximo possível da realidade e na realidade as coisas não se resolvem e desaparecem de repente, enfim, mesmo assim recomendo。 E Mack, eu te amoooooo gostei, foi o livro que me tirou da ressaca literária, ele é leve de uma forma que faz você pensar sobre comunicação e dificuldades reais num relacionamento, acho que minha "decepção" com ele vem de um lugar pessoal que não cabia na narrativa, eu queria mais aprofundamento onde TalVEZ não tinha que ter porque a autora queria retratar o máximo possível da realidade e na realidade as coisas não se resolvem e desaparecem de repente, enfim, mesmo assim recomendo。 E Mack, eu te amoooooo 。。。more

I really enjoyed the premise of this and baseball players discussing things like the significance of Disney movies or the importance of women's fiction was such a highlight。 I loved Gavin。 He was so sweet and so willing to try anything to win his wife back。 He was just perfect, admitted his fault, talked about things and made the necessary changes in himself。 He did everything right。 Thea, on the other hand, frustrated me so much。 She dumped all the blame on him, kept comparing him to her father I really enjoyed the premise of this and baseball players discussing things like the significance of Disney movies or the importance of women's fiction was such a highlight。 I loved Gavin。 He was so sweet and so willing to try anything to win his wife back。 He was just perfect, admitted his fault, talked about things and made the necessary changes in himself。 He did everything right。 Thea, on the other hand, frustrated me so much。 She dumped all the blame on him, kept comparing him to her father, and said such awful things that I swear I hated her。 No one should act so self-righteous。 And when Gavin finally voices out Thea's hypocrisy, the book concludes in less than 50 pages。 The author does not dwell on Thea's development as much as she should have。 She doesn't even acknowledge Thea's fault until this almost-end confrontation。 I would've rated this book higher if, along with Gavin, Thea had developed over the course of the book as well。The book club was so interesting。 I might return to this series and it is all thanks to them。 。。。more

3。5 ⭐️ rounded upI’m new to the marriage in trouble trope in romance。 But I enjoyed this。 Definitely a talent of the author to write two romance styles in one book。 Looking forward to continuing with the series。

I think the premise of this book is so fun, but the way it played out was very melodramatic and a bit pandering haha! Didn’t really care for Thea and Gavin’s relationship, but holy shit, Braden Mack stole every scene and I finished the book just for him。

Courtney McGarity

Yes! More books where people work on their marriage and intimacy! I loved this one and was so proud of Thea and Gavin by the end of this。 Excited to read the other books in this series。

I just read this in the car in one sitting and I loved it sooooo much。 What the heck was not expecting this but also not mad about it lol

Clever premise, nice acknowledgment of the actual importance of romance novels, real fallible people, and funny dialogue。 If this sounds intriguing, give this book a try。

I don’t think I have ever read a book that made me physically laugh out loud as much as this one did! This was the perfect contemporary rom-com to get me out of my little reading slump。 I absolutely loved the characters and the concept of this book with the men having a book club to win their wives back。 So many times I’ve heard, “if you want to know what women want, pick up a romance novel!” I am so glad this author ran with it and made this incredible book that I could not put down!

This deserves way better ratings!

I've seen this one on and off since I'm in Nashville。 I wanted to like this one more than I did。 The ending got there but it was SO FRUSTRATING! It was obvious that Thea and Liv were making Gavin pay for how their dad had behaved。 Once we got past that everything was good。 That just took longer than it should。 The rest of the book was captivating though。 I've seen this one on and off since I'm in Nashville。 I wanted to like this one more than I did。 The ending got there but it was SO FRUSTRATING! This book had me laughing crying and smiling。 I’m a sucker for cheesy romance and this killed it。 I love the idea of all the guys supporting fixing a marriage。 Definitely a great read。

[3。5 stars]This was good, but I think the premise of the book club is way more interesting than the actual execution。 Maybe I just wasn’t super invested in the couple’s relationship。 Regardless, I agree with the message: men really should read romance!

This book is fantastic! I was not sure what to expect after reading the blurb on Goodreads, but I am SO glad that I decided to give it a go。 Listening to the audiobook made this book come to life。 The narrators were spot on in making these characters alive。 MLB player Gavin Scott is having marital troubles when he finds out his wife Thea has been faking it during their entire relationship。 In a downward spiral, Gavin is invited to the Bromance Book Club who offers help to save his marriage。 Ther This book is fantastic!
